This role emphasizes public records requests, document review, and finding stories that matter to viewers. Strong communication, creativity, and active content creation are essential for daily live shots.

Qualificações

• Good writing skills required.
• Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism or related field.
• Self-starter with initiative.
• Knowledge of and ability to operate state-of-the-art television news equipment; CMS and social media.
• You MUST provide a link to your resume reel.
• MVR check will be run.

Responsabilidades

• Develops sources and contacts for the bureau covering Craven, Pamlico, and Carteret counties.
• Reports live daily for multiple newscasts.
• Shoots, writes, edits, and posts stories.
• Works under strict deadline pressure.
• Coordinates with news director for bureau upkeep.
