A day at the office:

As a buyer at the Marine Fuels Sourcing team in Houston you are responsible for the daily procurement of bunkers for the alliance. A typical morning will be very hands on from the second you walk in the office, you will need to be in touch with the movements in crude oil and bunker fuel prices as you will need to provide spot - and forward indications to the alliance members, follow up on emails and handle any new inquiries that should be sent out to the market. Since there are a variety of tasks to cover simultaneously, the ability to handle multiple inquiries at the same time is greatly beneficial.

When the morning rush has slowed down, it is time to bring forward the eye for details as we will need to follow up on final quantities, request and provide CoQ's, any potential operational changes, or claims. This may also be a good time to compare port pricing / discuss alternative options with members of the alliance.

In order to stay engaged, throughout the day you will need to stay updated on oil market movements, factors affecting the market as well as assessing supplier performances to ensure we are not only achieving competitive pricing but also getting the best overall quality and performance.

If the above resonates with you and you think you can contribute, we are excited to hear from you!

The chosen candidate should be a positive thinker, and ready to be part of a dedicated group of individuals working towards common goals in a fast paced and fun environment.

We will be interviewing throughout the application period and may close the position once we have found the right candidate.
