Job summary

Branch's Civil Division is seeking an experienced Bulldozer Operator to excavate, level, and distribute earth, and to push trees and rocks as needed on a safety‑minded team. This on‑site role is based near Richmond and offers a challenging, varied workload.

Responsibilities include attaching implements, connecting hydraulics, and operating controls to manage blades and attachments. Requires 1–3 years of bulldozer experience and knowledge of OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of bulldozer operating experience.
• Knowledge of construction techniques.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• DOT experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Fastens attachments to tractor.
• Connects hydraulic hoses, belts, mechanical linkage or power takeoff shaft to tractor to provide power to raise, lower or tilt attachment.
• Operates controls to manipulate tool bars, carriers and disks.
• Operates controls to maneuver tractor and raise, lower and tilt attachments to clear right-of-way.
• Listens for stalling action of engine to estimate depth of cut.
• Operates bulldozer in passes to shape terrain to grade per stakes or signals.
• May service and adjust equipment.
