Position Summary

Branch's Civil Division is searching for an experienced and safety-oriented Bulldozer Operator to join our well-established, growing company. The Bulldozer Operator operates a tractor with a blade attached across the front to excavate, level, and distribute earth and to push trees and rocks.

Duties/Responsibilities

1. Fastens attachments to tractor
2. Connects hydraulic hoses, belts, mechanical linkage or power takeoff shaft to tractor to provide power to raise, lower or tilt attachment
3. Operates controls to manipulate tool bars, carriers and disks
4. Operates controls to maneuver tractor and raise, lower and tilt attachments to clear right-of-way
5. Listens for stalling action of engine to estimate depth of cut
6. Operates bulldozer in successive passes to raise or lower terrain to specified grade following markings on grade stakes or hand signals
7. May service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction techniques
• 1 to 3 years of bulldozer operating experience
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations
• DOT experience preferred, but not required

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position which will typically involve 40+ hours a week. Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on-call early/late hours to deal with delays, bad weather, and emergencies at the job site.
