Job summary

DSM- Firmenich in New Ulm, MN is seeking a Bulk Weigh Operator to join a detail-oriented, efficient production team. You will weigh raw materials, verify ingredients, and ensure accurate packaging and labeling throughout the process to meet customer and internal needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/Equivalent, SAP and inventory experience, with ability to lead and train Packer and Split on SOPs.
• At least one year of experience as a split operator or operator role.
• Commitment to safety and ergonomic operation on the production floor.
• Follow all Safety Policies, Kosher and USDA labelling guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and verify materials before, during and after the weigh process; inspect ingredients.
• Strong math aptitude for calculating kilograms per thousand and bag weights.

Responsibilities

• Accurately weigh raw materials using product code, batch numbers and SU’s for verifying ingredients.
• Accurate addition of materials according to work order sheet in a timely fashion.
• Fill a daily packing sheet; ensure packaging and labelling meet customer or internal needs.
• Assist in pre-weighing of materials, washing of tanks and materials used in daily production.
• Provide accurate count and packing sheets for daily production.
• Capable of performing GMPs and enforcing safety rules.
