The Shipping and Receiving Operator is responsible for a variety of shipping tasks including small package shipping, picking orders, shipping orders, forklift operation, and filling work orders for bulk lubricants. The operator maintains accurate inventory through the use of the warehouse management system. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and any tools or pumping systems used in the warehouse to complete tasks.

Bulk Loading Responsibilities

• Operating mechanical pumps in the warehouse as well as hydraulic pumps on tanker trucks.
• Operating and driving six different bulk trucks on site.
• Handling multiple hoses and connections to load and offload product by the gallon.
• Operating in-house pumps to fill totes, drums, and pails for work orders.
• Following bulk standards and processes to ensure safety, quality, service and productivity.
• Sustaining the condition of hoses, connections and pumps.

Warehouse Responsibilities

• Using forklift and/or pallet jacks to accurately pick orders and load freight regularly.
• Receiving vendor receipts and transfers.
• Inspecting materials for nonconformities and following the non-conforming process if necessary.
• Using the warehouse management system and scanners to maintain accurate inventory.
• Wrapping pallets securely for shipment.
• Preparing hazardous materials for shipment, including completing DOT HAZMAT paperwork as necessary.
• Packing cartons correctly and stacking cartons on pallets.
• Transferring bulk products into drums, totes, and pails.
• Following work instructions according to company policies and procedures.
• Following all safety guidelines and regulations.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience/Training

• Must be able to effectively communicate to maintain positive relations with team members.
• Capable of standing, walking and repeatedly climbing into and out of truck tractor or forklift several times throughout the day. Ability to lift 50 lbs. periodically.
• Must be able to perform basic math skills.
• Must have attention to detail.
• High level of flexibility.
• Knowledge of quality management systems.
• Knowledge of inspection processes.
• Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions in English.
• One or more years in a warehouse setting preferred.

Licenses/Certificates

• Forklift certification preferred.

Technology/Equipment

• Working knowledge of a Warehouse Management System or ERP system preferred.

Physical and Mental Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently asked to speak, hear, stand, sit, and/or use both hands to handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to walk, bend, distinguish colors, or use repetitive movement for certain tasks. The employee must be able to lift and carry 25 to 60 lbs. occasionally and lift more than 60 lbs. intermittently. Personal Protective Equipment must be used intermittently while working with certain hazardous materials. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

Working Environment

Work is performed in a warehouse setting. Noise level is moderate to loud. Although the warehouse is climate controlled, the employee will need to be able to adapt to different climate changes. Role

The anticipated hiring range for the role you are applying for is between $20 and $25 hourly. This anticipated hiring range is based on several factors, and subject to increase based on the below:
