Position Summary:

This position will focus primarily on shipping and receiving responsibilities. Additional responsibilities include performing occasional, light production duties to ensure on-time production and shipment of product while adhering to high standards of quality, safety and customer service.

  • Unloading tank wagons.
  • Confirming paperwork is complete for all deliveries and shipments and correcting when needed.
  • Loading containerized and bulk raw materials to production vessels.
  • Operating production equipment.
  • Drawing off product into drums, pails and totes.
  • Moving materials throughout facilities, including the use of fork trucks.
  • Printing labels and SDS sheets.
  • Assisting in tracking material inventory and performing inventory counts.
  • Storing and retrieving raw materials, finished goods, and supplies.
  • Cleaning up spills of non-hazardous items.
  • Assisting in maintaining a clean and safe facility through performance of general housekeeping duties.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Previous shipping and receiving experience preferred
  • 1-2 years of related chemical manufacturing experience preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to move drums up to 500 pounds with mechanical equipment in a safe manner as directed.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • May be required to stand for long periods and walk great distances daily.
  • Routinely required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • May be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear.
  • May be required to work in small spaces and high locations.
