Job summary

Land O'Lakes, Inc. is seeking a Bulk Loader for the Omnium manufacturing team. The role involves handling bulk materials to support production of crop protection products, with responsibilities spanning loading, unloading, inventory control, and quality checks.

Expect 1st shift from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, with weekends/overtime/holidays as needed. This manufacturing position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and maintaining clean, organized work areas to meet production deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • 1 year or more of work experience in any industry.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

  • Safely load and unload bulk tankers in accordance with established procedures and safety requirements.
  • Offload, position, and move railcars to support production and shipping needs.
  • Manage and monitor bulk tank inventory to ensure accurate product levels and material integrity.
  • Coordinate with Lab, Formulation, and Production teams to meet quality specs prior to transfer or shipment.
  • Follow all safety processes and promote safe work practices.
  • Ensure SOPs are followed during bulk handling and transfer operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of bulk loading, unloading, and storage areas.
  • Collaborate with Leads and Management to complete daily work assignments.

Job description

Bulk Loader Pay: $23.75 per hour

Shift & Working Hours: 1st Shift; 5:00 AM to 1:30PM Weekends/Overtime/Holidays as needed.

In this role, you will be a key member of our Land O’Lakes, Inc. Omnium manufacturing team, responsible for bulk material handling activities that support the safe, efficient production of high‑quality crop protection, adjuvant, and plant nutrition products.

The Bulk Loader plays a critical role in ensuring materials are accurately received, stored, transferred, and shipped while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. This will include operating machinery and equipment and packaging the final product.

This role is part of our Omnium business who is a loyal partner in the manufacturing of crop protection, adjuvant, and plant nutrition products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely load and unload bulk tankers in accordance with established procedures and safety requirements
  • Offload, position, and move railcars to support production and shipping needs
  • Manage and monitor bulk tank inventory to ensure accurate product levels and material integrity
  • Coordinate closely with the Lab, Formulation, and Production teams to ensure products meet quality specifications prior to transfer or shipment
  • Follow all safety processes and actively promote safe work practices for yourself and others
  • Ensure all quality standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed during bulk handling and transfer operations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of bulk loading, unloading, and storage areas
  • Demonstrate strong attendance, adaptability, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
  • Collaborate with Leads and Management to complete daily work assignments and support overall plant operations
  • Complies with all safety processes and insists on safety practices of self and others
  • Shows up on time, completes tasks by deadlines, and adapts to changes quickly
  • Able to multi-task and keep up with production demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Ensures all quality standards and standard operating procedures are followed during production process
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of work area
  • Collaborates and follows the instructions of Leads and Management to accomplish daily work assignments
Required Experience and Skills
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • 1 year or more of work experience in any industry
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions in English
  • Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot
  • Strong collaboration, communication skills, and is always respectful
Preferred Experience
  • 1+ year of manufacturing work experience
  • Machine operation and/or forklift experience
Physical Requirements
  • Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
  • Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
  • Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include areas where dust and chemicals are present
