Job Summary

Primary customers are hospitals, commercial food processors, and various government agencies. The job requires long hours while remaining DOT compliant. It offers a set schedule with two consecutive days off, including night shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended stays as needed. The position is primarily local, but candidates must be able to adjust to schedule changes as needed. Under the supervision of the local Terminal Manager, the Bulk Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of commercial motor vehicles owned and/or operated by Matheson Tri-Gas. The role involves handling liquefied Oxygen, Nitrogen, and Argon gases to customer locations and production facilities. This position reports to the Terminal Manager.

Essential Functions

1. Safely load and unload cryogenic liquids (oxygen, nitrogen, and argon).
2. Practice safe driving techniques daily to prevent accidents and injuries.
3. Report all accidents, unsafe acts, and near misses.
4. Comply with safety policies, procedures, and employment policies.
5. Complete and submit regulatory compliance and company documents timely.
6. Communicate effectively regarding customer service, scheduling, equipment issues, and other relevant matters.
7. Understand and adhere to dispatch and scheduling instructions.
8. Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate professional standards.
9. Develop and maintain good relationships with customers.
10. Report for duty ready to work at the assigned time.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Minimum of two years of tractor and semi-trailer experience with verification.
• Class A CDL with hazardous materials, tanker, and air brake endorsements.
• Minimum of three years of tractor and semi-trailer experience with verification.
• Safe driving record.
• Competence in handling commercial motor vehicles during pre-employment tests.
• Ability to drive manual transmission.
• Work within FMCSA hours of service regulations.
• Maintain physical qualifications per FMCSA regulations.
• Ability to stand, lift, stoop, and perform vehicle inspections and loading/unloading.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended stays.
• Adjust to schedule changes as needed.
• Understand and work within FMCSA guidelines.
• Operate delivery and loading equipment in all weather conditions.
• Acquire competency in safe handling of cryogenic liquids.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions
