The Bulk Account Merchandiser Specialist is a critical support role within the POD Model in the One Tier Sales Strategy, operating in a flexible, 24/7 environment. This role is especially important due to the shift of Dollar General and some independent groceries from Small Store to Large Store channels. The BAM Specialist provides vacation coverage for the Bulk Account Merchandiser and Merchandiser, serves as the first contact for late PM/early AM weekends to ensure route coverage, and acts as a liaison between the customer, merchandiser, and driver for order refusals and inventory overloads. The role may involve executing weekend operational plans with minimal influence on strategic changes, and keeping the DSM informed as appropriate.
