Job summary

UPS in Maumee, OH is seeking an engineer to support plant floor equipment, troubleshoot, calibrate, and adjust devices to maintain optimal operation. The role sorts calls and expedites repairs while collaborating with maintenance teams to resolve daily challenges.

This is a permanent, on-site position with a Monday–Friday night shift (7:00 PM–3:30 AM). The role requires a strong engineering foundation and the ability to stay on top of equipment performance in a dynamic logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, industrial or automation engineering or related field.
• Entry-level to early career professional engineering experience.
• Experience with automation, controls, or industrial equipment preferred.
• Must be able to work Monday-Friday 7PM-3:30AM and reside in or relocate to the area.

Job Summary:

This position troubleshoots, calibrates, and adjusts plant floor devices as necessary to maintain optimal performance of plant floor equipment. This position sorts calls and breakdowns and expedites their completion. This position provides information to maintenance mechanics on how to complete required repairs to resolve breakdown situations. This position assists in solving the daily problems inherent in keeping the conveyors or physical facility in good working order.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

• Entry-level to early career professional engineering experience.
• Experience supporting industrial equipment, automation systems, conveying systems, controls, or electrical infrastructure is preferred.
• Internship, co-op, or project experience related to automation, controls, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial engineering is beneficial.

Requirements:

• Must be able to work Monday- Friday 7PM-330AM
• Must reside within the geographic area of the job or willing to relocate
