Job summary

Kinsley is seeking an experienced Foreman/Superintendent to join our Building team in North East, MD. The Foreman/Superintendent will direct and coordinate construction activities, lead crews, and manage on-site safety, quality, schedules and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have strong field leadership, extensive building construction knowledge, and the ability to read and apply blueprints.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of field leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of building construction.
• Ability to read and follow construction site drawings, blueprints, diagrams and specifications.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test and a DOT physical.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.

• Lead and manage Kinsley’s self-perform crews through a hands-on approach.
• Manage and schedule subcontractors.
• Interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
• Plan, schedule and utilize manpower, tools, materials and equipment.
• Receive material deliveries and maintain on-site inventory.
• Complete daily time sheets and maintain daily logs.
• Operate tools and equipment safely per company policies.
• Follow blueprints and specs to meet project needs.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Kinsley is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Foreman/ Superintendent to join our growing Building team in North East, MD. As a General Contractor, the Foreman/ Superintendent is responsible for directing and coordinating activity associated with the construction of the project in accordance with established schedules, budgets, plans, specifications and procedures. A successful candidate will lead by example, motivate crew members and efficiently manage the job.

Please note that this position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with Kinsley Construction policies and procedures.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Effectively Lead and manage Kinsley's self-perform crews through a hands-on approach.
• Successfully manage and schedule subcontractors
• Interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications
• Plan, schedule and utilize necessary manpower, tools, materials and equipment needed to complete the job
• Receive material deliveries and maintain on-site inventory
• Responsible for completing daily time sheets and maintaining daily logs
• Use tools and operate equipment in compliance with Kinsley’s safety policies and procedures when necessary
• Comprehend and follow blueprints and specifications to meet needs of the project.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 5 years of field leadership experience
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of all aspects of building construction
• Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and moving whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials.
• Ability to read and follow construction site drawings, blueprints, diagrams and specifications is preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test and a DOT physical.
