Building Technician (The Elms & The Balmoral)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Building Technician to perform cleaning, groundskeeping, and light maintenance at The Elms & The Balmoral in Downtown Minneapolis, MN. This role supports a team managing multiple properties and aims to maintain a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment for residents. The Technician reports to the Senior Site Manager.

Key Responsibilities

1. Complete service requests including cleaning and minor repairs.
2. Maintain interior common areas and vacant apartments.
3. Perform seasonal duties such as snow removal and salting.
4. Handle plumbing, electrical, and HVAC-related tasks like changing filters and batteries.
5. Assist with installing blinds and other light fixtures.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of cleaning experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and cultural responsiveness skills.
• Problem-solving and relationship-building abilities.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Compensation & Schedule

Pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, based on experience. The role offers Monday-Friday daytime hours, typically 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with some flexibility. No on-call duties. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, paid time off, and more.

Additional Information

This is an in-person, part-time position supporting multiple properties. Occasional travel to Aeon’s Central Office and training sites may be required.
