Job summary

Keystone Church is seeking a Building Team member to help maintain our campus and support events. You will perform cleaning, maintenance, and setup tasks, assist with rooms, and ensure safe, welcoming spaces for worship and community.

This full-time hourly role reports to the Building Team Lead and requires reliable communication with staff and volunteers. Responsibilities include HVAC oversight, access control, project support, and keeping bathrooms and common areas tidy.

Responsibilities

  • Facility Maintenance and Operations: Perform general cleaning duties including trash removal, sweeping and mopping; perform more skilled cleaning duties including pressure washing and window cleaning; assist in routine maintenance tasks such as painting, adjusting door hardware or replacing light fixtures; inspect and monitor the condition of building equipment, furniture, and fixtures to ensure they are clean, safe and in good working condition; repair or assemble furniture, equipment and other items as needed or notify the Building Crew Lead when professional repairs are required.
  • Event Setup and Teardown: Assist with the setup and teardown of rooms and spaces for events, services and meetings including arranging furniture and other supplies; ensure rooms and spaces are ready for use on time and in accordance with event specifications.
  • Building Security and Safety: Ensure the building is secure at all times by checking doors and performing lock up tasks when asked; report any safety hazards, malfunctions, or areas of concern to the Building Crew Lead for immediate attention.
  • Staff and Congregant Support: Provide support to church staff by responding promptly to facilities-related requests and addressing any issues that arise during events or services; communicate effectively with the Building Team Lead and other staff members to ensure smooth operations and fulfillment of tasks.
  • General Facility Inspection and Cleanliness: Regularly inspect all areas of the building, including bathrooms, hallways, meeting rooms and common areas to ensure they are tidy, safe and well-maintained; ensure that trash is removed regularly and facilities are always presentable to staff, congregants, and guests.
  • Other Duties: Assist with special projects or tasks as requested by the Building Crew Lead including seasonal preparation, landscaping or deep cleaning; maintain a positive, helpful attitude and foster a team-oriented work environment; assist with maintaining onsite and off site storage areas; making deliveries or pickups as needed with the church’s truck/trailer.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Building Services Team is responsible for executing the vision of our church for our property, facilities and events. We steward our building and property through routine cleaning and maintenance, oversee support systems like HVAC and access control, execute projects to support ministries and build servant leader teams to support those projects and events.

This role is responsible for assisting the Building Team Lead to ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of our church campus. It includes performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, assisting with the setup and teardown of rooms for events and supporting projects for the building and other ministry teams. This role will interact with staff, servant leader teams and church members so effective communication is a must.

Job Responsibilities
