Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Erie is seeking a part-time Building Supervisor for the Downtown YMCA location. You will promote a welcoming atmosphere, provide excellent member service, and support routine maintenance and safety.

You’ll greet members, conduct tours, handle interviews, promote memberships and programs, and respond to security alarms. This role offers up to 20 hours per week with a competitive wage and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR Pro and First Aid certifications required.
• Excellent human relation skills and customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests and provide friendly, efficient service.

Job description

The YMCA of Greater Erie is looking to hire a part-time Building Supervisor at our Downtown YMCA location. Are you dependable, welcoming and customer service focused? Do you have experience with the maintenance of fitness equipment and enjoy working with both people?

This position pays $10.98 - $13.73/hour depending on experience.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BUILDING SUPERVISOR

As an Building Supervisor for the YMCA of Greater Erie, you promote a positive, professional and welcoming atmosphere by providing excellent customer service and exemplify our YMCA values to all members, guests and program participants.

You are enthusiastic and friendly as you greet members and guests as they enter our locations. You will provide friendly and efficient service while conducting membership interviews, facility tours, and responds to member and guest needs, promotes and sells memberships and programs, and maintains cleanliness and organization of the YMCA.

With an eye for safety, you act as the "department supervisor" for the location in the absence of any other higher-ranking director or coordinator. You are also happy to promote memberships and programs, answer questions and perform various maintenance a facility related duties. You are the location's primary first responder to all security and fire alarms. As someone who loves your job, you provide branch tours to new members with passion and are relied upon to open and/or close the facility using proper protocol.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A BUILDING SUPERVISOR

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR Pro (CPR for health care providers and first responders) and First Aid training (for the community and workplace).
• Excellent human relation skills.
