Job summary

Mather is seeking a hands-on Building Services Technician to help keep the community buildings, systems, and grounds safe, functional, and well-maintained in Tucson, AZ. The role covers preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and turnover painting to ensure a welcoming environment for residents and staff.

This position requires 5+ years of maintenance experience, with knowledge of plumbing, refrigeration, electrical systems, and preferably HVAC.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in Senior Living.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical systems; knowledge of HVAC systems a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Internet, and Outlook.
• Ability to learn work order system.

Responsibilities

• Timely completion of routine repairs, maintenance requests, and work orders throughout the community.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Maintain the overall appearance of the property by painting common areas and apartments at turnover and as needed.
• Assist with maintenance of fire, life safety systems and equipment; respond to emergencies according to Mather policies and procedures.
• Perform seasonal exterior maintenance including grounds clean-up, snow removal and salting, maintain light fixtures.
• Perform/Assist in unlocks, room set-ups/tear downs, receiving/delivery of packages.
• Monitor the community through regular tours to ensure safety and security of residents, guests, and staff.
• Responds to emergency situations.
• Identifies areas for improvement, proposes possible solutions, and participates in data collection and process changes as part of the Quality Assurance Process Improvement process.
