Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority in Alcoa, TN, is hiring a Building Services Specialist for McGhee Tyson Airport. This fully on-site role focuses on keeping terminals clean, safe, and welcoming for travelers and staff.

You will perform daily cleaning tasks, assist passengers, monitor for hazards, and help with snow removal. A high school diploma is preferred, with <1 year custodial experience acceptable; compensation is $16 per hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Less than one year of custodial or related experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Clean and maintain terminal floors, carpets, restrooms, and common areas.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles.
• Clean windows, mirrors, fixtures, stainless surfaces, and walls.
• Strip, polish, and maintain floor finishes.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning solutions safely.
• Assist passengers with directions and general information.
• Monitor facilities for spills and safety hazards.
• Notify leadership of maintenance needs and repairs.
• Help with snow removal and de-icing around entrances.
• Operate recycling compactors and balers.
• Support a clean, safe, world-class airport experience every day.
