This position contributes to the facility operations including janitorial and event services carefully following proper cleaning protocols including wearing any required personal protective equipment.This position REQUIRES availability to work Thursday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays. In addition this position will need to be flexible to work events on a few Friday/Saturday nights with a strong emphasis on sevent setups, tear downs and cleanups.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms janitorial tasks as scheduled, including, but not limited to:* Cleaning of restrooms and work areas* Mopping floors* Vacuuming carpets* Dusting* Collecting trash* Washing walls and windows* Picking up trash on Museum's outside property* Floor stripping, waxing, buffing* Sweeping or hosing down sidewalks* Cleaning, empty trash cans outdoor including, garden, terrace areas and parking lots* Setting up and breaking down special events including tables and chairs.* Cleaning up during and after special events.* Able to log into Outlook and check email, ability to log into computer to complete required training courses.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING ENVIRONMENTThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by any team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
