Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Building Service Attendant, Tisch. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitary conditions of designated areas within the Medical Center.

Job Responsibilities

1. Maintain safety and infection control guidelines, follow departmental safety protocols, use equipment properly, and request assistance for heavy lifting. Wear gloves and follow infection control procedures, wash hands frequently, and report hazardous conditions. Post wet floor signs to prevent accidents.
2. Perform other duties as assigned.
3. Conduct cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash collection, floor polishing, high dusting, spot washing, toilet cleaning, furniture cleaning, trash disposal, blinds and radiator cleaning, and curtain handling. Use ladders and cleaning equipment as needed, and utilize the Bed Tracking System to manage discharges.
4. Proficient in Bed Tracking System operation and reporting. Perform daily cleaning steps for patient rooms, including dusting, wall washing, disinfecting surfaces, and restocking supplies. Ensure all surfaces are disinfected and cleaned according to hospital protocols.
5. Maintain supplies and tools, perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, and ensure proper disposal of trash. Use appropriate cleaning solutions and equipment for floors and carpets. Prepare discharge rooms and handle linen changes.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to communicate and understand simple English instructions. Ability to read MSDS and chemical labels.

Preferred Qualifications

One to two years of cleaning experience in a healthcare environment preferred but not required.

Qualified candidates must communicate effectively with all organizational levels.
