Job summary

Nassau Financial Group, based in Hartford, CT, seeks a Corporate Security Officer to provide a safe work environment for associates, tenants, visitors and contractors. You will handle access control, CCTV monitoring, incident reporting, and emergency procedures with a professional presence and strong teamwork.

The role requires weekend availability, a CT Guard Card, and relevant security experience. Base pay is $20/hr, with benefits and a dynamic, entrepreneurial culture. Hartford, CT location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Active listening skills.
• Valid State of Connecticut Guard Card.
• CPR / AED / Basic First Aid Certification, or ability to pass certification after onsite training.
• 3–5 years of meaningful employment in Security, Law Enforcement, Military, Emergency Management or related field.
• Knowledge of security access control, alarms, CCTV and PA systems.
• Weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Acts as an ambassador to the building and greeting associates, tenants and visitors.
• Maintains a cooperative work environment and clean reception area.
• Provides direction/assistance to associates, tenants and visitors in a timely, professional manner.
• Ensures building and occupant safety with interior/exterior tours and reporting findings.
• Controls access by checking IDs, signing sheets, visitor badges and CCTV.
• Operates security and alarm systems, securing doors and arming/disarming per schedule.
• Responds to incidents, conducts investigations and submits incident reports.
• Monitors HVAC, fire and elevator alarms and documents actions.
• Responds to emergency procedures and participates in training.
• Handles incoming calls professionally and covers calls in emergencies.
