Job summary

Nassau Financial Group is seeking a Corporate Security Officer to provide a safe environment for associates, tenants, visitors, and contractors in Hartford, CT. The role emphasizes professionalism and active security management of the facility.

Responsibilities include building tours for safety, access control, CCTV monitoring, incident reporting, and coordination during emergencies. Requires a CT Guard Card, CPR/AED/First Aid certification, and 3–5 years in security or related fields.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Professional interaction with associates, tenants, visitors and the public.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Active listening skills.
• Valid State of Connecticut Guard Card.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification, or ability to pass on-site training.
• 3–5 years in security, law enforcement, military, emergency management or customer service.
• Knowledge of security access control, alarms, CCTV, and public-address systems.
• Ability to identify, evaluate and respond to critical issues and situations.
• Attention to detail and ability to record data and write reports.
• Ability to learn and follow SOP manuals and emergency procedures.
• Must attend and complete required training.
• Must have weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Greet associates, tenants, and visitors as an ambassador.
• Maintain cooperative work relationships within the team.
• Keep the reception area organized and clean.
• Provide direction and assistance to associates, tenants, and visitors professionally.
• Ensure building and occupant safety through tours and checks of premises.
• Control access by badge checks, sign-in, and CCTV operation.
• Operate security systems, lock/unlock doors, and manage alarms.
• Investigate incidents and file security incident reports.
• Monitor HVAC, fire, and elevator alarms; document actions.
• Follow all emergency procedures and training.
• Handle incoming calls professionally and cover shifts when needed.
• Remain on duty during emergencies or after hours when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
