Job summary

Diversified Protection Corporation seeks a Security Operation Command Officer in Connecticut to protect assets, staff, customers, and visitors. You will monitor CCTV and alarms, control access, and respond to emergencies, with a focus on teamwork and clear English communication.

The role requires 3–5 years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and valid CT security credentials. A pre-employment background and drug screen are required. This is a 24/7 watch/response environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience (military or former law enforcement preferred).
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid CT State Security Guard License or Certification.
• Strong Interpersonal Skills.
• Experience with surveillance systems or access control.
• Customer service experience.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate with a team during emergencies.
• Proven experience in a 24/7 watch office or emergency response environment.
• Expertise in security procedures, crisis management, emergency response.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Must have been issued a Social Security Card by the Social Security Administration.
• Must be a Lawful Permanent Resident who is currently a member of, or who possesses a verifiable honorable discharge from, any component of the United States Armed Forces OR a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

Security Operation Command Officer

Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour

Objective:

This position is under the direct supervision of the site supervisor and is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, customers, and all visitors.

Essential Functions

Read and understand the English language to effectively carry out applied printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials. Have a command of both the written and spoken English language to properly communicate in person or via electronic devices (telephone and radio) with co-workers and the general public. Maintaining a professional, tactful and courteous demeanor under stressful situations security personnel routinely encounter. Be able to compose precise short paragraphs, written reports, and other reports in English as necessary.
