Job summary

Triton Environmental Consultants, Ltd. seeks a Technical Lead, Building Performance to own building-sustainability engagements for commercial real estate clients. You will combine field work, analysis, reporting, and asset-level client coordination across assessments, energy audits, and related services.

You will independently execute work within established methodologies, while senior staff retain final methodology and technical authority. Travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Relevant education, training, or certifications in building performance, sustainability, or related disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience performing building assessments, energy audits, testing, certification-related fieldwork, commissioning, retrocommissioning, or similar technical services.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating technical assignments, deliverables, stakeholders, and deadlines.
• Experience working directly with commercial buildings, facilities teams, property management teams, or real estate clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead building sustainability and performance work, including assessments, environmental testing, energy audits, retrocommissioning, and data verification.
• Plan and execute engagements or workstreams within established methodologies, evaluating conditions and developing technically supportable findings and recommendations.
• Own delivery of the assigned scope, including planning, coordination, schedule, budget, deliverables, documentation, and quality.
• Lead asset-level client interactions and coordinate with property managers, building engineers, and vendors, clearly communicating findings and actions.
• Contribute to scopes, estimates, proposals, contracts, and invoicing within established commercial parameters.
• Share knowledge, provide technical guidance, and help develop methodologies, tools, templates, workflows, and SOPs.
