The City of St. Joseph is seeking a Building Official to perform a variety of routine and technical tasks related to enforcing building and related codes. This role involves examining construction plans and conducting on-site inspections to ensure compliance with codes and ordinances, thereby protecting public health, safety, welfare, and property. Additional related duties may be assigned as needed.
This is a part-time position offering competitive compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience. The employment agreement is subject to annual review and renewal based on performance and organizational needs. While hours may vary, we anticipate a need for 20-30 hours a week on a regular basis, dependent on workload.
