Job summary

Aoka is seeking a Certified Building Official (CBO) to lead a team of building inspectors in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The role includes supervising inspections, enforcing building codes, and acting as a subject matter expert to support the sales team.

You will oversee permits, plan approvals, and reports while coordinating with multiple municipal departments. Ideal candidates have ICC-CBO certification and 5–7 years of progressive building inspection experience, with strong leadership,

Responsibilities

• Supervise building inspectors and manage inspection programs.
• Serve as SME supporting the sales team.
• Conduct client visits for complex or escalated projects.
• Administer and enforce municipal, state, and federal codes, permits, and inspection reporting.
• Interpret complex codes and provide guidance to architects, engineers, contractors, and owners.
• Collaborate with fire, planning, zoning, engineering, and public works departments for enforcement.
• Manage appeals, code updates, and ordinance revisions.
• Maintain records and prepare reports on inspections and permitting.

Qualifications
