Job summary

Alvin ISD is seeking a facilities maintenance professional to uphold the district's standards for appearance and function. Responsibilities include performing basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and related repair tasks, following written and verbal directions in English, and maintaining systems across district facilities.

Qualified candidates will have a HS diploma or GED, a valid Texas driver’s license, and the ability to operate within a 260-day AUX PG5 schedule.

Primary Purpose

Maintain assigned facilities consistent with district standards as to appearance and functions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Texas driver's license

Special Knowledge/Skills

• Working knowledge of electrical, air-conditioning, plumbing and carpentry skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Knowledge of basic construction and routine maintenance and repair procedures.
• Knowledge of facilities and facility set up and break down preferred.
• Familiar with electronic work order systems.
