Higginbotham Brothers, a Texas lumber supplier with a long-standing history, seeks a Retail Manager to lead daily store operations, direct staff, and drive profitability at its Midlothian location. You will manage inventory, oversee sales performance, ensure safety, coordinate departments, and participate in budgeting and reporting.

A Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years of management in building materials are required; MS Office proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 1-3 years of management experience in retail/building materials preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building materials and operational workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct daily store activities and personnel.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure materials are in stock.
• Oversee sales profitability and budget compliance.
• Audit safety of work areas and attend monthly safety meetings.
• Develop work schedules and set operational goals.
• Review sales reports, expenses, labor, and attendance.
• Coordinate workflow between departments and maintain equipment.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitor variances.
• Ensure attendance policy compliance through consistent availability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and maintain safety commitments.
