Weyerhaeuser Jacksonville Distribution Center - Forklift Operations Associate

Weyerhaeuser Jacksonville Distribution Center is seeking a Forklift Operations Associate. Under the supervision of the Site Operations Manager and designated leaders, this role involves handling materials related to wood products in the yard/warehouse.

Starting pay is based on experience, ranging from $19.50 to $22.50 per hour. The start time is 8 am.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain propane or gas forklifts safely to move products to staging or cut stations.
• Pick orders manually and with a forklift assistance.
• Load and unload products from trailers safely.
• Ensure personal and team safety at all times.
• Operate chainsaws and battery-powered tools safely.
• Intervene in unsafe practices proactively.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment.
• Perform basic math accurately, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
• Count pieces and units accurately, record totals, and document shipping and receiving activities.
• Gain in-depth knowledge of building materials and warehouse operations.
• Commit to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

This position involves manual labor 55-65% of the time and is not an inside warehouse role.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn; no prior forklift experience required; training provided.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions five days a week and occasionally on Saturdays.
• Proficiency with computers.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
• Experience in the building materials/wood products industry is preferred.
