Job summary

Builders FirstSource in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a professional driver responsible for loading, transporting and delivering building materials to customer sites. You will ensure on-time, undamaged delivery and provide top-notch service while adhering to safety regulations.

Required a High School Diploma or GED, valid license, and ability to read English. The role includes manual lifting, use of handheld devices, and possible forklift operation; a strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 21+ years old.
• Valid driver’s license and pass MVR requirement.
• DOT medical card within five days of request.
• Less than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to read and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Loads and secures product inside delivery vehicle.
• Delivers orders to customer sites and unloads materials safely.
• Verifies order details and logs delivery duties (weights, mileage, locations).
• Acts as customer service liaison and resolves issues.
• Performs safety checks and maintains vehicle cleanliness.
• Uses handheld devices to ensure DVIR/HOS compliance.
• Maintains hours of service logs and pre/post trip inspections.
• Operates forklift or other handling equipment as needed.
