Job summary

Riverhead Building Supply Corp in Rhode Island is seeking a Counter Salesperson to assist customers with product selection, set up deliveries and obtain quotes. You will handle in-person and phone inquiries using our ERP/CRM systems.

This role emphasizes customer service, building materials knowledge, and strong math, computer, and communication skills. Weekend availability is needed; the team offers 401(k) and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Well spoken with a professional appearance.
• Familiarity of building supplies.
• Experience in sales of building materials and millwork preferred.
• Experience with ERP and CRM is a plus.
• Strong mathematical, language, computer and email skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.
• Some weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product selection and purchases.
• Provide exceptional service in person and over the phone.
• Process sales transactions and customer orders using the ERP system.
• Coordinate deliveries and communicate estimated arrival times.
• Obtain quotes and lead times from manufacturers and vendors.
• Manage order inquiries and resolve customer issues.
• Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
• Maintain accurate sales and order records.
