Job summary

Big Bear Mountain Resort is seeking a maintenance associate to perform routine and preventative upkeep both inside and outside the facilities. The role includes cleaning, sweeping, mopping, window cleaning, and stocking bathrooms, as well as clearing snow and assisting with building security.

Starting wage is between $21.28/hr and $25.54/hr, depending on experience. Candidates must be at least 18, have a HS diploma or GED, and be able to pass a company certification to operate equipment.

Qualifications

  • Basic skills in building trades (painting, carpentry or similar) for maintaining and repairing buildings.
  • Basic knowledge of housekeeping practices and safety.
  • Ability to operate company equipment after certification.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow safety rules and maintenance instructions.
  • Calm, composed demeanor during challenging operations.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance and repair tasks inside and outside facilities.
  • Clean and stock bathrooms, sweep, mop, vacuum, wash windows.
  • Clear snow-covered paths and assist with safety and security of buildings.
  • Assist with trash pickup and basic site maintenance.

Position Summary

Provides assistance inside and outside, performing routine and preventative maintenance and repair services, as well as picking up trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning windows, clearing snow covered paths, cleaning and stocking bathrooms, and making sure buildings are secure.

Starting wage between $21.28/hr. - $25.54/hr. depending on experience.

Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Basic skills in one or more of the building trades, such as painting, carpentry, or other recognized crafts for the purpose of maintaining and repairing buildings
  • Basic knowledge of and/or training in housekeeping services
  • Ability to pass the Company certification to operate equipment
  • Able to read, understand, and comply with documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Have a calm and collective demeanor, especially during challenging operations
  • Ability to record data accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Able to work flexible schedules, including second and third shifts, as well as weekends and holidays
