Job summary

Housing Authority of the City of Summit is seeking a Building Maintenance Worker to perform a variety of repair and upkeep tasks in our properties. Duties include responding to work orders, basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs, painting and drywall work, and general building maintenance.

The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, possess a valid New Jersey driver's license, and participate in rotating on-call evenings and weekends, including snow removal during

Responsibilities

• Respond to work orders and perform a variety of repairs as assigned.
• Provide basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
• Paint and repair drywall as needed.
• Clean buildings and grounds, and perform light landscaping.
• Complete routine preventive maintenance and other duties as assigned.

Building Maintenance Worker

The Housing Authority of the City of Summit is seeking applicants for the position of Building Maintenance Worker. The maintenance staff performs a variety of tasks, including responding to work orders; providing basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs; painting and drywall repair; cleaning of buildings and grounds; light landscaping; routine preventive maintenance; and other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate must be available to participate in a rotating evening and weekend emergency on-call schedule, be able to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds, have a valid New Jersey driver's license, and be available for snow removal during active snowfall.
