Exempt or Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt

Shift: A.M. shift, Overnight shift, P.M. shift

Shift Start Time: 06:00am, 02:00pm, 10:00pm

Responsibilities and Description

ERMC is seeking a Maintenance Technician Apprentice. The candidate selected is responsible for, but not limited to:

1. Assist electrical, HVAC, and plumbing technicians
2. Perform scheduled and non-scheduled preventative maintenance tasks
3. Monitor HVAC airflow and distribution in terminals
4. Change HVAC filters
5. Maintain, repair, and replace electrical motors
6. Maintain, repair, and replace water and hydraulic pumps
7. Diagnose and resolve electrical, HVAC, and plumbing issues
8. Ensure proper use of all tools for cutting, bending, and welding
9. Evaluate equipment to ensure proper condition
10. Repair ceilings, floors, and walls as needed
11. Inspect equipment like refrigerators and air conditioners for proper functioning
12. Repair and change locks, perform lock servicing for safety

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electricity, carpentry, plumbing, and technical skills
• Good communication skills for system problems
• Mechanical skills for handling equipment safely
• Ability to evaluate work orders
• Provide basic hand tools

Standard Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Government ID and Social Security card
• Ability to obtain airport security badge
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work in extreme conditions and small spaces
• Security clearance after background check
• Work nights, weekends, holidays, extended hours
• Proficient in English
