Job summary

RXR is seeking a handyman to manage day-to-day property operations at a New York building. The role includes maintenance, repairs, painting, and basic admin tasks. The position operates under a 32 BJ union agreement and requires reliability and teamwork with the Building Manager and Superintendent.

Candidates should be comfortable working on ladders, using PPE, and performing routine equipment checks. Familiarity with Excel/Word is noted, with an emphasis on tenant service and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• At least 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.
• Must be able to perform HVAC maintenance tasks and plumbing repairs.
• Ability to follow OSHA safety guidelines and use PPE.

Responsibilities

• Monitor building equipment and readings.
• Perform sprinkler/standpipe maintenance and inspections.
• Respond promptly to tenant service requests.
• Perform painting, cleaning, and general maintenance tasks.
• Maintain/repair lights, pumps, motors, and valves.
