Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring all hotel facilities, equipment, and building systems operate at peak performance. This role supports a luxury guest experience by maintaining high standards of safety, comfort, and aesthetics throughout the property while providing timely, professional service to guests and team members.

What You'll Do
Maintenance & Engineering Operations
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs of hotel systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, appliances, and mechanical equipment.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house departments.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend the life of equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation of completed repairs.
Safety, Compliance & Facilities Care
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, fire, health, and building regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
  • Assist in emergency situations such as power outages, equipment failures, or guest-related issues.
  • Collaborate with Engineering team members on projects, renovations, and facility upgrades.
Guest Service & Professionalism
  • Provide courteous, professional service when interacting with guests and hotel staff.
  • Maintain discretion, professionalism, and a service-oriented mindset at all times.
  • Maintain flexibility to support operational needs including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
What You'll Bring
Required Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years of maintenance experience required, preferably within a hotel, resort, or high-end property environment.
Preferred Education & Training
  • Technical training or certification in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or general maintenance preferred.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of luxury hotel standards and guest service expectations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
