The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of manual tasks involving inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance of building systems such as electric, cooling systems, fixtures, and other maintenance duties as assigned. It may also include sweeping the shop floor, cleaning restrooms (including showers), trash removal, and other duties to maintain our headquarters in pristine condition for team members, visitors, and customers. This position can be considered janitorial and is physically demanding. Candidates must be able to stand for 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs. It is a full-time role requiring independent work with minimal supervision, attention to detail, and competency in duties.

Specific responsibilities include:

  1. Perform preventative maintenance tasks expected of a building maintenance technician.
  2. Inspect assets according to maintenance schedules.
  3. Identify issues requiring maintenance or repair.
  4. Perform routine maintenance on building systems.
  5. Assist with general upkeep of facilities.
  6. Maintain cleanliness of all building areas, including sweeping, debris removal, disinfecting touchpoints, cleaning bathrooms, and replenishing supplies.
  7. Ensure tools, chemicals, and supplies are replenished and organized at shift end.
  8. Maintain cleanliness of common areas and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  2. Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  3. Stable employment history.
  4. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
  5. Problem-solving and time-management skills.
  6. Understanding of building utility systems.
  7. Ability to work independently.
  8. Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and maintenance methods.
  9. Ability to diagnose electrical problems and disassemble machines for repairs.
  10. Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Additional details include no supervisory responsibilities, a shop environment with heat exposure, full-time hours Monday to Friday, occasional evenings/weekends, and the need to pass background and drug tests. Physical ability to lift 50 lbs is required.
