MMS Group is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician for a 120-unit residential property in Normal, IL. This full-time role focuses on upkeep, unit turns, and on-call responsibilities to ensure safe, comfortable homes.

You will perform electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks, manage turnovers, and coordinate with on-site teams. A high school diploma and 3+ years in multifamily maintenance are required. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of residential multifamily property maintenance experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Maintain residential apartment homes and common areas on the property.
• Perform repairs in apartments and other areas (electrical, plumbing, etc.).
• Install tile and laminate flooring where needed.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours calls.
• Manage turnover of empty units, including repairs and updates.
• Perform other duties as assigned per job description.

Building Maintenance Technician

Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician ready to join our fantastic team of professionals? MMS Group is on the hunt for someone like YOU! Our Maintenance technicians are responsible for the maintenance operations related to apartment home upkeep and unit turns.

MMS Group is seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Technician for a 120-unitresidential property located in Normal, IL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Regular Maintenance: Maintain residential apartment homes and other areas on the property, including building exteriors, interiors, and public areas, regularly.
• Repairs: Perform small appliance, plumbing, electrical, and other repairs in residential apartments and other areas of the property.
• Installation: Install tile and laminate flooring
• Emergency Response: Take part in the on-call rotation schedule, responding to emergency calls according to the company's policy on after-hour emergency calls
• Unit Turnover: Manage the turnover of empty apartment units, including repairs (e.g., sheetrock, taping, sanding, painting, and fixing doors, windows, light fixtures, etc.).
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as outlined in the job description.

Requirements:

• Tools: Possession of basic tools needed to perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Physical Requirements: Physical aspects of the job may require heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, balancing, and carrying
• Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
