Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan in Neillsville/Marshfield, WI is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to support HUD properties, offices, and program sites, with a primary focus at 7500 N. Granville.

This full-time role runs 8 AM–5 PM, Monday–Friday with rotating on-call, and offers comprehensive benefits. You’ll perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and preventative maintenance while ensuring safety and code compliance. Travel to multiple sites is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years in building and grounds maintenance.
• Knowledge of building systems, tools, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform heavy manual labor.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsabilités

• Perform general maintenance and repairs: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and more
• Conduct preventative maintenance on boilers, water heaters, and mechanical systems
• Maintain property appearance, landscaping, and snow removal
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls (rotating on-call schedule)
• Ensure compliance with HUD, WHEDA, REAC, and local codes
• Monitor vendor work and maintain accurate documentation
• Assist with unit turnovers, equipment setup, and facility inspections

Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan (LSS) is seeking a dedicated Building Maintenance Technician to join our Housing team. This role supports our HUD apartment buildings, office locations, and program sites throughout the Milwaukee area, with a primary focus at our 7500 N. Granville location.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and repairs: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and more
• Conduct preventative maintenance on boilers, water heaters, and mechanical systems
• Maintain property appearance, landscaping, and snow removal
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls (rotating on-call schedule)
