Job Location and Schedule

This position is based in Waldorf, MD, with scheduled hours from Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm. Occasional nights and weekends may be required.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly salary is $20.06. This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and employer-paid contributions to healthcare coverage.

Introduction

The Maintenance Specialist performs various general building maintenance functions across skilled and semi-skilled trades to support mechanical and electrical HVAC systems at Melwood properties.

Responsibilities

1. Repairs and Maintenance: Conduct repairs on Melwood properties, including residential, covering carpentry, plumbing, painting, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and other tasks efficiently and professionally.
2. Maintenance System Support: Support the maintenance system by adhering to all procedures related to work requests, gas logs, and FMX system, including maintaining assigned vehicles.
3. Property Upkeep: Maintain the general upkeep of company property, including snow/ice removal, applying ice melt, road maintenance, lawn and field mowing, erosion control, etc.
4. Safety and Reporting: Assist supervisors in identifying current and upcoming maintenance needs, monitor safety and fire hazards, and report or address them promptly.
5. Team Support: Help other maintenance staff with garage operations, including cleanup, inventory, and tool control.
