City of Concord in North Carolina seeks a Maintenance Technician to oversee upkeep of City buildings and structures. You will perform repairs, source materials, and price equipment for maintenance tasks.
The role requires hands-on carpentry, plumbing and electrical work, with on-call rotation and fingerprint clearance. A valid NC driver’s license is required, and the job involves standing, lifting, and physical duties.
The purpose of this position is to oversee the upkeep of City buildings, structures. This is primarily accomplished by making repairs, obtaining materials and parts, and pricing equipment to be used for maintenance.
Please Note: An offer of employment is contingent upon successful clearance of a fingerprint screening. If the incumbent fails to obtain clearance through the fingerprint screening, they will not be able to access all necessary City buildings and therefore, may be subject to termination.
Travels and maintains and repairs City facilities. Performs basic carpentry, building and plumbing repairs. Inventories and purchases material needed for projects. Performs regular maintenance and servicing of shop and hand tool equipment. Maintains reports and daily logs of work progress. Rotational on-call responsibilities.
Performs other similar duties as required.
Valid North Carolina Driver’s License.
