Job summary

Landing Gear Technologies is seeking a Building Maintenance Mechanic for I and II shifts to support our facility. You will need PLC and control systems knowledge, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical faults including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Landing Gear Technologies is an FAA Certified Repair Station specializing in the repair and overhaul of aircraft landing gears and components. We are currently looking to Building Maintenance Mechanics for I and II shifts.

Building Maintenance Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities
  • Must have PLC and control systems knowledge
  • Must follow preventive safety protocol as establish by the company
  • Demonstrate safety awareness throughout workday
  • Perform all preventive maintenance tasks
  • Required to troubleshoot, install minor equipment, analyze and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults, including hydraulic and pneumatically operated equipment with little assistance or supervision
  • Submit parts requests by looking up part in manufacturer’s parts book, from parts room shelf or online
  • Mentor other mechanics to help them perform their roles better and establish a team atmosphere
  • Perform welding, plumbing and project work
  • Proactively work with the team to ensure efficient operation of the equipment
  • Help others at all levels completing any maintenance tasks
  • Build a detailed knowledge of plant equipment operation
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
Building Maintenance Mechanic Job Requirements:
  • Good written and oral communications skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Use of power tools, scissor/man-lifts, hand trucks and forklifts
  • Use of diagnostic equipment to properly troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and make appropriate repairs
  • Able to troubleshoot, analyze and repair including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatically operated equipment with minimal assistance or supervision
  • A minimum of three years’ experience working as a Building Maintenance Mechanic.
  • Able to lift, support and move 40 pounds.
  • Able to operate all machinery and equipment for diagnostic purposes
  • Able to read and interpret equipment and site blueprints to promote rapid failure recoveries
