Job summary

MSI Express, INC is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician responsible for the general upkeep of the building and its systems, including water, heating, air conditioning, and electrical maintenance. You will perform preventative maintenance and respond to requests to keep equipment and spaces operating smoothly.

Candidates should have 2+ years of facility maintenance experience, the ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and the willingness to follow safety procedures on every shift.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of facility maintenance experience
• Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions
• Basic knowledge of mechanics, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
• Ability to lift/move up to 100 pounds
• Ability to bend, stoop or crouch frequently
• Hand-eye-foot coordination to use hand tools and equipment
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights

Responsibilities

• Maintain HVAC system
• Perform minor maintenance for water and electrical repairs
• Carry out preventative maintenance programs
• Provide maintenance to material handling equipment to ensure service reliability
• Perform carpentry on floors, walls, doors, etc.
• Ensure all safety equipment is in proper working order
• Complete required reports when maintenance tasks are completed
• Answer security/alarm calls as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Capability Profile Minimum Qualifications/Skills:

• Ability to work specified shift
• Ability to work for the set wage amount
• Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
• Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions
• Basic knowledge of mechanics, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
• Ability to lift/move product that may weigh up to 100 pounds
• Ability to bend, stoop or crouch frequently in the course of the shift
• Have appropriate hand, eye, and foot coordination to properly use hand tools and mechanical equipment
• Ability to climb ladders and work at higher elevations

Minimum Experience 2+ years of previous facility maintenance experience
