Job summary
ANDMORE's ADAC operations team is seeking a Building Mechanic – HVAC to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems and supporting building infrastructure at the ADAC facility in Atlanta.
You will ensure systems run efficiently to keep tenants and visitors comfortable and safe, respond to service requests, and maintain records. The role requires HVAC expertise, certification, and the ability to work with vendors and utilities.
Qualifications
- EPA 608 certified (Type II or Universal) preferred.
- HVAC technician degree with 2+ years service experience, or 3+ years HVAC service experience.
- Proficient in troubleshooting heat pumps and gas-fired units.
- Experience with low-voltage electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
- Familiar with MS Office and Energy Management software.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift 20-30 lbs regularly and 50-60 lbs occasionally.

- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, service calls, and repairs using computer-based tracking systems.
- Manage the inventory, ordering, and procurement of HVAC and building maintenance materials.

This role ensures that all systems operate efficiently to maintain a comfortable and safe environment for tenants and visitors.

- Perform preventative maintenance, servicing, and repairs on light commercial HVAC systems and other building infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with heat pumps, gas-fired units, low-voltage electrical systems, and plumbing.
- Monitor and operate the Energy Management System (EMS) to optimize building performance.
- Respond promptly to service requests, including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural, elevators, fire sprinklers, and general building maintenance.

- Experience diagnosing and repairing low-voltage, single-phase, and three-phase electrical circuits, plumbing, and other building systems.
- Familiarity with MS Office and Energy Management software.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the operations team, ADAC management, showroom owners, vendors, contractors, and utility companies.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing as a highly resourceful team player.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and multitasking skills with sharp attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 20-30 lbs. regularly and 50-60 lbs. occasionally.
- Requires frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and walking.
- Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions (rain, snow, extreme heat or cold) as needed.
- Takes pride in delivering high-quality work and maintaining a well-functioning, efficient, and safe facility.
- Reliable, punctual, and demonstrates a strong work ethic.
- Highly detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working effectively with team members, tenants, and vendors.
