Job Duties:- Tutors small groups of students on specific skills such as reading or math
- Tutors individual students on specific learning concepts
- Assists in classroom by answering individual student’s questions while they are working on assignments
- Administers first aid and contacts parents of ill or injured students, makes arrangements to transport ill or injured students to the hospital or their home when the nurse is not in the building
- Administers medications to pupils consistent with District policies and pupil IEPs
- Assists in creating hall displays, bulletin boards, posters, etc.
- Assists in administering and scoring examinations
- Greets and assists visitors to the building
- Contacts parents on student absences
- Attends individual parent-teacher conferences, if requested
- Monitors students at the site and/or field trips
- Keyboards study materials, classroom materials, examinations, attendance, newsletters, and correspondence
- Cuts stencils and operates copying, laminating, fax, printers, and other office equipment
- Occasionally monitors a class during a brief period during the day when a teacher is required to leave
