Job summary

Springbrook Software in Cottonwood, AZ is seeking a part-time Building Inspector to join our municipal team. Under the direct supervision of the Building Official, you will inspect building projects, advise customers on code requirements, review plans for compliance, and assist with permit processing.

This is an on-site, part-time role requiring a high school diploma or GED, ICC certification (or eligibility within six months), three years of building inspection experience, and a valid Arizona

DESCRIPTION:

Under direct supervision of the BuildingOfficial, inspects building projects and determines their degree of codecompliance; serves customers at the front counter and advises them as to coderequirements; reviews plans for code requirements; investigates code violations;permit processing which may include assisting the Building Official in compilationand writing of monthly reports and other related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

Maintaining physical condition necessary forsitting, standing, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching,traversing uneven terrain, and crawling for prolonged periods; climbing stairs,ladders, steep inclines, and trenches; operating motorized vehicles; light tomoderate lifting; general manual dexterity and situational awareness.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

The equivalent ofa high school diploma or GED, the equivalent of International Code Council(ICC) certification as a Building Inspector or the ability to obtaincertifications within 6 months of hire, and three (3) years of construction orbuilding inspection experience. Possession of a valid Arizona driver’s license.
