County of Sonoma is seeking a Building Inspector II to perform a range of field inspections for building, electrical, plumbing, and fire and life safety. You will review plans for code compliance, coordinate with clients, and travel to remote sites as needed in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• California building, housing, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical codes knowledge required.
• Experience interpreting building plans and specifications.
• Ability to explain complex regulations to customers clearly.
• Proficient multitasking and using computer programs in inspections.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to offsite locations.

Responsabilités

• Inspect residential, commercial, and industrial construction plans and sites.
• Review plans for compliance with codes, ordinances, and policies.
