Qualifications

• Four years of full-time paid experience as a building, construction, housing or combined inspector.
• Four years as a licensed general, masonry, concrete, structural steel or framing and rough carpentry contractor.
• Two years of carpentry, masonry, concrete, structural steel or framing after completion of an apprenticeship.
• Eight years of related carpentry, masonry, concrete, structural steel or framing work.
• One year as Assistant Inspector III with the City of Los Angeles.

Responsibilities

• Inspect commercial and apartment buildings for conformance to building, grading, and zoning laws and approved plans.
• Assist in training other inspectional employees as required.
