Job summary

Willdan Group, Inc. in the San Marcos, TX area is seeking an ICC-Certified Building Inspector to join our municipal services team. This role includes inspecting before, during, and after construction to ensure code compliance and safety.

You’ll issue permits and notices, communicate findings to homeowners and contractors, mentor staff, and stay current with evolving building standards. A TX Plumbing Inspector license and ICC certifications are required, with 3+ years of municipal inspection

Qualifications

• State of Texas Plumbing Inspector’s License is required.
• ICC Certifications (Commercial and Residential) required.
• 3+ years of inspection experience with municipal agencies.
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Issuing permits, violation notices, and stop-work orders when needed.
• Clearly communicating findings with homeowners, contractors, and field personnel.

What We’re Looking For

• A State of Texas Plumbing Inspector’s License.
• ICC Certifications (Commercial and Residential required).
• 3 or more years of inspection experience with municipal agencies.
