Willdan is seeking an ICC-Certified Building Inspector in the Marshall, TX area. In this part-time role, you will conduct inspections to ensure compliance with building codes, issue necessary permits, and mentor inspection staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections before, during, and after construction.
  • Issue permits, violation notices, and stop-work orders.
  • Clearly communicate findings with homeowners and contractors.
  • Mentor and train inspection staff.
  • Integrate new developments in building and safety standards.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct inspections before, during, and after construction to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Issuing permits, violation notices, and stop-work orders when needed.
  • Clearly communicating findings with homeowners, contractors, and field personnel.
  • Mentoring and training inspection staff to build a stronger, more knowledgeable team.
  • Serving as a trusted resource for technical guidance and customer service.
  • Staying ahead of the curve by integrating new developments in building and safety standards.
What We're Looking For
  • A State of Texas Plumbing Inspector's license is preferred.
  • ICC Certifications - Commercial and Residential are required.
  • 3 or more years of inspection experience with municipal agencies.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
