NV5, Inc. is seeking qualified full-time and part-time ICC Inspectors to provide inspection services for projects in the Los Angeles and Orange County metropolitan area. The ideal candidate will perform multi-disciplined inspections for residential and commercial buildings, with a preference for knowledge of California codes.

Assignments may vary by location and duration. The role requires ICC B1 Residential, B2 Commercial, and Mechanical certifications, with Building Inspector certification as

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience performing inspections for Residential and Commercial Buildings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and act as a “team player” with clients and co-workers.
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office software.
• Must be able to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections to verify construction is completed in adherence with approved codes, laws, ordinances, regulations and standards.
• Verify that construction complies with approved plans and calculations.
• Read, research, and objectively interpret code requirements.
• Maintain clear, concise and comprehensive records related to inspection activities.
• Review complex engineering documents to ensure construction compliance.
• Interface with Project Managers, Engineers, and clients through participation in project meetings and daily site interaction.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

NV5, Inc. is seeking qualified full-time and part-time ICC Inspectors to provide inspection services for projects in the Los Angeles and Orange County metropolitan area. Experience with California adopted codes preferred. Project locations and durations may range from assignment to assignment.

Licenses and Certifications

• International Code Council (ICC) inspector certifications are a must:

  • B1 Residential

  • B2 Commercial

  • Mechanical

• ICC Building Inspector certification is a plus

The pay range for this California position is $45.00- $60.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per California Senate Bill 1162. Base pay information is based on market location.
